The FiberTronix FT-FTX1310-14-SCAPC-1218 is a directly modulated optical transmitter designed for CATV and hybrid fiber-coaxial (HFC) broadband networks. Featuring a 1310 nm DFB laser with 14 dBm nominal optical output and an SC/APC connection, it delivers downstream RF signals over fiber for analog television, digital television, QAM, and DOCSIS 3.1 applications.
Its 47–1218 MHz bandwidth supports expanded downstream capacity, while advanced pre-distortion circuitry helps maintain signal quality by minimizing noise and distortion. Dual high-isolation RF inputs accommodate broadcast and signal insertion applications, with selectable automatic or manual gain control for RF level adjustment.
A front-panel LCD provides access to operating status and settings, while Ethernet and RS-232 interfaces support local and remote management. Dual hot-swappable power supplies and a compact 19-inch, 1RU rack-mount chassis make it well suited for headend installations.
