The DataTronix 12-source Standard Definition RCA to QAM Encoder Modulator converts up to twelve standard-definition composite video sources into four digital QAM channels for distribution over a coaxial cable network. Designed for professional video distribution systems, this rack-mount encoder accepts 12 RCA composite video inputs with stereo audio and encodes them using MPEG-2 video compression before modulating them into four agile QAM RF channels.
With 12 RCA composite video inputs, the unit accepts video from sources such as media players, security cameras, satellite receivers, or digital signage players. These inputs are encoded using MPEG-2 video compression and modulated into four configurable QAM digital channels, which can then be distributed through a coaxial network to televisions with integrated QAM tuners. This makes the unit well suited for TV distribution systems that need to support older SD digital televisions or cannot distribute HD content due to rights limitations.
The compact 1RU rack-mount design makes installation simple, while the web-based management interface allows easy configuration of input channels, RF frequencies, and system settings from any connected computer.

This replaces any requirement for a stacked receiver solution using mini-mods to duplicate channels for fitness centers or other TV’s unable to support HD or SD digital content. The NTSC-8 is completely agile for each of the 8 outputs allowing for flexibility in RF plant management.
