The cAP XL ac (RBcAPGi-5acD2nD-XL) is a high-performance dual-band 802.11ac wireless access point purpose-built for broad indoor and semi-outdoor coverage in offices, warehouses, schools, retail environments, and public venues. Dubbed the “ceiling AP on steroids,” it enhances the classic cAP design with an improved high-gain antenna that can increase coverage area by up to 100% compared to earlier cAP models.
Featuring simultaneous 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz radios with 802.11ac throughput, the cAP XL ac delivers more robust wireless performance and better client handling across both bands. The unit includes two Gigabit Ethernet ports — one with passive PoE-out for powering downstream devices — and is powered by a quad-core ARM CPU for reliable performance under load. It supports advanced networking functions via RouterOS, including VLANs, firewalling, and traffic control.
The compact, unobtrusive enclosure is designed for ceiling or wall mounting, making the cAP XL ac ideal for deployments that need extended coverage, higher client density, and flexible placement.
